a comic strip parody of port-a-potties with fire hydrant runners peeing on a port-a-potty that looks like a dog

#78 "Flush Break"

I have memories of trying to balance on the tippy-top of fire hydrants when I was a kid. It was always easy to stand on the sides, but the top was a tightrope job with one foot. I remember trying to get the outlet caps off, and I do believe succeeded at least once. There was a certain fascination I had about them. When the firemen used to come around to flush the hydrants, I thought it was the coolest thing. The water would flood our flat street, and there would be these huge puddles for at least the rest of the day, if not the next, which made for some great popsicle stick boating.

Now, fire hydrants are something to which I shouldn't park my car too near. The magic is gone.
